The Founder and President of Astonish Excellent Ladies, Lolo Chinazom Chigbata, has led members of the women’s group to donate assorted items and cash to residents of the Lolababy Elderly Care Home at Oyarifa in Accra as part of their commitment to supporting the aged.
The visit, held on Sunday, June 21, 2026, formed part of the group’s outreach initiative aimed at showing love, care, and compassion to elderly citizens.
The event was organised by Astonish Excellent Ladies, with Metro TV, Original TV, Original FM, and Women & Leadership Newspaper as media partners, under the theme, “The Astonish Excellent Ladies Visit to the Lolababy Elderly Care Home.”
The group presented toiletries, bottled water, assorted drinks, and a cash donation to support the operations of the facility and improve the welfare of its residents.
Speaking during the presentation, Lolo Chinazom Chigbata said caring for the elderly is a shared responsibility and urged individuals, corporate organisations, and faith-based organisations to regularly extend a helping hand to aged persons who have contributed significantly to society.
She noted that, beyond the donation, spending quality time with the residents was intended to remind them that they remain loved, valued, and appreciated.
“Our elderly citizens deserve our love, respect, and attention. We believe that even the smallest act of kindness can brighten their day and give them hope,” she said.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the home, the Founder of Lolababy Elderly Care Home, Apostle Kwame Wura Bempah, expressed profound appreciation to Lolo Chinazom Chigbata and members of Astonish Excellent Ladies for their generosity and compassion towards the residents.
He described the donation as a timely intervention that would go a long way in supporting the daily needs of the elderly under the care of the facility.
Apostle Wura Bempah also appealed to religious organisations, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), philanthropists, corporate bodies, and other well-meaning individuals to emulate the gesture by extending support to the home to help provide quality care for the elderly.
Management of the facility commended Astonish Excellent Ladies for demonstrating genuine compassion and setting an example of selfless service to society.
The outreach concluded with members of Astonish Excellent Ladies interacting with the residents through fellowship, conversations, and words of encouragement, reaffirming the group’s commitment to promoting compassion, community service, and support for vulnerable members of society.
