A chance meeting between two senior figures of the opposition New Patriotic Party and a group of pastors believed to be sympathetic to the National Democratic Congress has drawn attention on social media.
The encounter reportedly occurred at Plus Two Restaurant, where the Alexander Afenyo-Markin and the NPP’s National Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye, met the pastors unexpectedly.

Sources close to the pastors indicated that the meeting was purely coincidental, as both groups happened to be at the restaurant at the same time. The brief interaction, however, quickly turned into a friendly exchange.
During the conversation, the pastors reportedly shared their views on the political landscape and their perceived role in mobilising spiritual support during the country’s recent political campaigns.
According to accounts circulating online, the two NPP leaders acknowledged the influence of religious leaders in Ghanaian society and commended the pastors for their strong involvement in national issues.

Participants in the interaction also emphasized the need for unity and peaceful coexistence despite political differences, echoing the message: “One Nation, One People, One Ghana.”

Observers say the encounter highlights the unique role religious leaders continue to play in shaping public discourse and political conversations in Ghana.
