The Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, has disclosed that the company deployed more than 2,200 vehicles and pieces of equipment to support the government’s recently concluded Presidential Clean-up Exercise across the country.
Speaking to journalists after the second day of the nationwide exercise, Dr. Agyepong said Zoomlion Ghana Limited mobilised 150 tipper trucks, 30 compactor trucks, 210 long trailers and approximately 2,000 Aboboyaa tricycles to facilitate the collection and transportation of waste from communities.

According to him, the company operated across all 29 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in the Greater Accra Region to ensure that waste generated during the exercise was promptly evacuated.
“Day two of the clean-up was basically to mop up what we did on day one. Our target is to ensure that all waste is cleared and our communities are left clean,” he said.
Dr. Agyepong reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting national efforts to improve environmental sanitation, stressing that Zoomlion would continue working until all debris generated by the clean-up exercise had been cleared.

He further appealed to residents to adopt responsible waste management practices by subscribing to the services of licensed waste management companies and using approved waste bins instead of indiscriminately dumping refuse.
“The Ghana we want should be a cleaner Ghana. Therefore, all residents should practise proper waste management and sanitation,” he urged.
The Presidential Clean-up Exercise formed part of the government’s response to the recent floods and its broader commitment to improving environmental sanitation and promoting healthier communities nationwide.
