A 36-year-old man, Kwabena Anokye, has been killed following a violent confrontation over a woman at Offinso Agyimpra in the Ashanti Region.
The deceased is alleged to have been attacked by Akwasi Anyom after a heated dispute involving a woman identified as Adwubi.
According to local reporter Daniel Offei, Anokye previously had a child with Adwubi, who later left him to begin a relationship with Anyom.
Reports indicate that in the early hours of Friday, May 1, 2026, at about midnight, Anokye allegedly forced his way into Anyom’s residence through a window, demanding that Adwubi return to him.
The confrontation quickly escalated into violence. Adwubi reportedly fled the scene as the two men engaged in a fierce struggle, which resulted in Anokye’s death.
Anyom sustained machete wounds during the altercation and was rushed to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged and is currently assisting police with ongoing investigations.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue, while authorities continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the incident.
