The Team of Comrade Godwin Ayaba Mahama (GAM) has moved to dispel what it describes as “misleading claims” surrounding his political ambitions within the Greater Accra Region.

In a statement issued to clarify his intentions, the team urged constituency executives and party faithful to disregard rumours suggesting that Mr. Mahama is either not contesting or has shifted focus to a different position.

According to the statement, such claims are false and are being deliberately circulated to create confusion and undermine his campaign.

It stressed that Comrade Mahama is actively engaging stakeholders and conducting broad consultations as part of his preparation to contest for the position of Greater Accra Regional Secretary.

“To re-emphasize, Comrade Godwin Ayaba Mahama is firmly on course to contest for the position of Greater Accra Regional Secretary, and no other,” the statement noted.

The team further indicated that his campaign remains focused on uniting the region and strengthening party structures to ensure electoral success.

They added that Mr. Mahama’s vision is anchored on repositioning the Greater Accra Region for growth, cohesion, and improved performance within the party.
