Celebrated Ghanaian music producer and audio engineer, Hubert Kofi Anti, popularly known as Ubeatz, has encouraged dancehall star Shatta Wale to release a live version of his latest hit single ‘Street Crown’.
Speaking on Joy FM’s Music Lab on September 20, 2025, Ubeatz commended Shatta Wale for the song’s composition but argued that a live rendition with real instrumentation could take it to another level.
“The guitarist sounded like he picked some sample and dropped it in. A real guitarist would have featured better. The live performance of this song will be very good when real musicians are playing this,” Ubeatz said.
He suggested that Shatta Wale consider recording the track with a live band or even an orchestra to add depth and freshness to the sound.
Released about a month ago, ‘Street Crown’ has already gained massive traction, topping local music charts and winning endorsements from fans and industry stakeholders, including Jamaican dancehall icon Vybz Kartel.
