Celebrated Ghanaian gospel musician and Physician Assistant, Philipa Baafi, has released a new single titled “W’apegya Me Nhyira Mu.” The inspirational track was officially launched on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 6 p.m. and has since been trending on digital platforms and social media.
This marks Baafi’s second release in two years, following her 2024 single “Possible,” an uplifting anthem that resonated widely with messages of hope and faith.
Sharing the inspiration behind her latest song, the “I Go Dance” hitmaker revealed that it draws heavily from the biblical story of Joseph, whose life epitomises divine purpose in the face of betrayal and adversity.
“Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery, thinking they were destroying his future. Yet in God’s wisdom, those very trials became stepping stones to his promotion,” she explained.
According to Philipa, “W’apegya Me Nhyira Mu” speaks directly to the themes of rejection, disappointment, and betrayal — experiences she believes many people can relate to.

“When the hand of God is upon your life, no one can remove you from His divine plan. This song is therefore more than just music; it is a declaration of faith,” she said.
She further described the single as an anthem of encouragement and assurance that despite human schemes, only God determines one’s destiny. “Like Joseph, your story is not over — your blessing is secure in Him,” she affirmed.
The release adds to Philipa Baafi’s remarkable catalogue of inspirational gospel music, further cementing her status as one of Ghana’s most influential gospel voices.
