A National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman hopeful in the Sagnarigu Constituency of the Northern Region of Ghana, Adam Musah Dakpem Dema Naa, has allegedly come under scrutiny over claims that he has been using the names of Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang and former Health Minister Alex Segbefia to convince unsuspecting individuals to pay money for auctioned vehicles.
The allegations indicate that the chief allegedly approaches, or is introduced to, prospective buyers as someone who has access to influential government officials and the means to facilitate the acquisition of vehicles purportedly obtained through auction processes.
Adam Musah Dakpem Dema Naa, who has previously contested for the position of NDC Constituency Chairman in Sagnarigu in the Northern Region, is contesting once more for the same position in the party.
His alleged criminal activities have further brought attention to his political ambition in the Tamale area.
According to the complainants, after receiving payments, the vehicles are not delivered as promised, while attempts to contact him become unsuccessful.
Some alleged victims claim their calls and messages have gone unanswered after they made payments.

The allegations are said to have persisted from May 2026 until now and involve individuals who were allegedly persuaded to part with substantial sums of money based on claims of access to, or connections with, the personalities mentioned.
The situation has raised concerns because the alleged use of the names of the Vice President and Mr. Alex Segbefia could create the impression that the transactions have official backing or links to the government.
This alleged behaviour has raised serious concerns about the authenticity of NDC faithful in Tamale.
The victims are calling on the Vice President of Ghana, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, and Mr. Segbefia to act as soon as possible to salvage the situation.
According to victims of the alleged criminality, the incident is also tarnishing the image of the John Dramani Mahama government.
Sources familiar with the complaints are calling for the matter to be properly investigated and for anyone who may have lost money to come forward with evidence, including payment records, messages, telephone numbers, agreements, receipts, and other documentation that could assist investigators.
The victims who spoke to the press have also warned the general public about Adam Musah, alleging that he uses money earned from such activities to acquire traditional titles in the Tamale enclave.
The police have assured the general public of a thorough investigation into the matter.
