The Manhyia Palace has firmly dismissed reports suggesting it has any involvement in the funeral preparations of highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, widely known as Daddy Lumba. In a public notice issued on Wednesday, the Palace urged the public to disregard such claims, describing them as false and misleading.

According to the statement, Manhyia has played no part—directly or indirectly—in discussions, decisions, or arrangements connected to the musician’s burial and funeral rites. The Palace also cautioned media organisations, bloggers, and social media users to avoid associating it with matters it has no role in.

Public interest in Daddy Lumba’s funeral has grown in recent days, fuelled by conflicting reports and speculation over plans being discussed by various family groups and entertainment industry figures. Some of the rumours had attempted to link the Palace to certain decisions, an assertion it has now clearly refuted.

Manhyia advised the public to rely only on credible information from the musician’s family and official communication channels. It added that protecting the integrity of the Palace remains a priority and called for collective effort to prevent the spread of misinformation.
