
The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has arrested 101 suspects during special security operations carried out across the region as part of efforts to ensure safety during the festive season.
The arrests were made in areas including Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Nungua, Adabraka, Achimota, East Legon and the Railways enclave.

The police said the exercise, known as the “Christmas Special Operations,” was aimed at reducing crime and protecting residents and visitors during the busy Christmas period. The operation targeted suspected armed robbers, pickpockets and others believed to be involved in criminal activities.

All 101 suspects are currently in police custody, while investigations continue to establish their roles and any links to criminal networks.

The Greater Accra Regional Police Command said it remains committed to maintaining law and order and ensuring a safe environment throughout the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
