The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA) has reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to strengthening partnerships that promote the growth and sustainability of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.
This came during a courtesy call by the Country Director of GIZ Ghana, Dr. Dirk Abmann, who congratulated the CEO on his one year in office and engaged the agency in discussions aimed at deepening collaboration between GIZ Ghana and GEA.
The meeting focused on initiatives to support inclusive economic growth, enterprise competitiveness and private sector development, particularly for women and youth-led businesses.

Dr. Abmann shared insights into GIZ Ghana’s ongoing and planned interventions designed to strengthen Ghana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and improve opportunities for MSMEs. He also underscored the importance of strong institutional partnerships to ensure alignment with Ghana’s enterprise development agenda.
The GIZ delegation introduced the PSInno Programme, led by Mr. Wilhelm Hugo, Cluster Coordinator for Sustainable Economic Development, and Ms. Arlett Stojanovic, Head of Programme. The team highlighted efforts in innovation, enterprise upgrading and value chain development as part of broader strategies to promote sustainable private sector growth.
A major highlight of the engagement was discussions on the proposed Northern Enterprise Hub initiative aimed at supporting businesses in the Northern regions through access to business development services, innovation support, market linkages and capacity-building opportunities.

Both parties explored practical areas of collaboration to refine the concept and address regional economic disparities while promoting inclusive growth.
The meeting ended with a mutual commitment to deepen institutional cooperation and continue technical engagements to advance initiatives that will strengthen Ghanaian MSMEs and enhance enterprise development nationwide.
The GEA CEO expressed appreciation to GIZ Ghana for its continued partnership and support towards building a resilient and competitive private sector in Ghana.
