Asantehene to Present Bawku Conflict Mediation Report to President Mahama on December 16

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, is expected to present his report and recommendations on the mediation of the Bawku conflict to President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

This was announced in a statement issued by the Presidency on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

According to the release, the presentation will take place at the Presidency at 4 p.m. The report is the outcome of mediation efforts led by the Asantehene as part of national attempts to restore lasting peace in Bawku, where tensions and clashes have persisted for years.

The statement, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, did not give details of the recommendations but said the presentation marks a significant step in the broader peace-building process.

Stakeholders and observers are expected to follow the development closely as the government prepares to receive the much-anticipated report from the Asantehene.
