Founder and General Overseer of Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, has released a wide-ranging set of prophecies which he says will shape Ghana and the world in 2026, touching on politics, the economy, global sports, national security and religious life.

Delivering the revelations during his 31st Prophetic Service, Prophet Gaisie described 2026 as a year of sharp turns and unexpected outcomes, warning that events widely considered settled could be overturned in dramatic fashion.

Politics: Bawumia’s victory after uncertainty

On Ghana’s political landscape, the outspoken cleric predicted that the New Patriotic Party’s presidential contest would take an unexpected turn. According to him, although the race may initially appear decided in favour of another candidate, former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will ultimately emerge victorious.

He cautioned that the process could be marked by tension, disputes or legal challenges, urging political actors and supporters to remain calm and vigilant throughout the period.

World Cup 2026 faces disruption

Prophet Gaisie also raised concerns about the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scheduled to be hosted jointly by the United States, Canada and Mexico. He predicted that non-football factors could disrupt the tournament, with possibilities ranging from delays to partial suspension.

Despite the warning, he struck an optimistic note for Ghana, saying that if the tournament proceeds, the Black Stars will make a strong impact and could advance deep into the competition, possibly reaching the final stages.

Economy: Expansion amid currency pressure

On the economy, the prophet painted a mixed picture. He said 2026 would bring business growth, increased entrepreneurship and new opportunities across several sectors. However, he warned that the Ghanaian cedi would come under significant pressure, depreciating against major foreign currencies.

He said the situation would test resilience but could also drive innovation and reform.

Security warnings and call for vigilance

Prophet Gaisie issued strong warnings on national security, predicting potential threats to prominent political and public figures. He called on Ghana’s security agencies to remain alert and proactive, stressing that preparedness would be crucial in averting avoidable crises.

He specifically called for enhanced protection for GoldBod Chief Executive Officer Sammy Gyamfi, Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson and Governor of the Bank of Ghana Dr Johnson Pandit Asiama.

Agradaa, regional tensions and social issues

One of the most talked-about revelations centred on controversial evangelist Nana Agradaa, known privately as Patricia Asiedu. Prophet Gaisie said she could be released or pardoned in 2026 under unexpected circumstances, despite currently serving a prison sentence.

He also warned of localised political and religious tensions in some regions, particularly involving traditional authority and parliamentary power struggles, and urged dialogue to prevent escalation.

Church revival and exposure

On religious matters, the prophet said 2026 would be a year of revival, with authentic ministries gaining influence. At the same time, he warned that some religious leaders would be exposed, describing the year as a period that would separate genuine faith from performance within Ghana’s prophetic space.

Global concerns: US, Europe and West Africa

Prophet Gaisie also spoke about international developments. He called for prayers for former US President Joe Biden and warned of a possible attack on President Donald Trump, saying such an event could lead to national mourning in the United States.

He further urged prayers for Italy, which he described as being under spiritual strain, and warned of possible military unrest or a coup attempt in Côte d’Ivoire, calling on the country’s leadership and security agencies to remain vigilant.

Support for Mahama and other national issues

According to the prophet, President John Dramani Mahama will receive divine support in 2026 to undertake major development projects, including road construction and other national initiatives.

He also predicted challenges within Ghana’s media and entertainment sectors, with institutions such as the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation facing difficulties, and warned of instability surrounding some traditional leadership positions, including the paramount seat in Techiman.

A year of sudden change

Summing up his message, Prophet Nigel Gaisie described 2026 as a year that will defy expectations, where appearances will be misleading and outcomes could change suddenly. He urged Ghanaians to remain prayerful, discerning and united as the country navigates what he described as a pivotal period ahead.
