John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Nairobi to participate in the Africa Forward Summit, a high-level France-Africa partnership meeting focused on sustainable development, economic resilience, and global cooperation.
The summit brings together African leaders, policymakers, development partners, and global stakeholders to deliberate on key issues shaping the continent’s future, including climate action, economic transformation, healthcare resilience, and reforms to the global financial architecture.
President Mahama, who also serves as the African Union Champion for African Financial Institutions, is expected to play a leading role in discussions on Green Industrialisation, Energy Transition, and strategies aimed at strengthening Africa’s economic resilience amid global uncertainties.

He is also expected to contribute to conversations on reforming the international financial system to better address the development needs of African economies, while advocating for stronger partnerships to support sustainable growth across the continent.
As part of his engagements at the summit, the President will hold a series of bilateral meetings with global leaders, international development agencies, and strategic partners to deepen cooperation in areas of trade, investment, infrastructure, energy, and healthcare.
The Africa Forward Summit is seen as an important platform for advancing collaboration between African nations and international partners in addressing shared global challenges while promoting inclusive and sustainable development.
