The Minister for Transport, Hon. Joseph Bukari Nikpe, has paid a working visit to the Western Regional Minister, Hon. Joseph Nelson, as part of efforts to reactivate the Sekondi–Takoradi–Kojokrom railway line.
The visit was to formally inform the Regional Minister of ongoing plans and to strengthen collaboration between the Transport Ministry and the Regional Coordinating Council ahead of the project’s implementation.

Discussions between the two officials also focused on improving transport management within the region, with emphasis on enhancing efficiency, safety and connectivity.

The reactivation of the Sekondi–Takoradi–Kojokrom railway line is expected to boost economic activities, ease movement within the metropolis and support the broader national agenda of revitalising Ghana’s rail transport sector.
