Accra, February 9, 2026 – Ghana’s National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) held high-level talks with the Venture Capital Trust Fund (VCTF) today, unveiling plans for a dedicated fund to propel businesses under the Adwumawura Programme.

NEIP’s CEO, Deputy CEO, and management team met VCTF counterparts to map out deeper collaboration, focusing on sustainable financing pathways. The discussions zeroed in on equipping Adwumawura beneficiaries—primarily women-led ventures—with growth capital for scalability and lasting impact.

Access to finance emerged as a linchpin, but both sides stressed building enterprises that generate jobs and fuel economic transformation. As a Grant Management Committee member, VCTF recommitted to the programme and announced the new Adwumawura Fund for high-potential graduates.

“This initiative bridges the post-grant gap, ensuring continuity for viable businesses,” a VCTF statement noted.

NEIP’s CEO hailed the partnership, pledging aligned expertise to amplify results. He underscored shifting entrepreneurship support from quick fixes to enduring outcomes.

The move aligns with President John D. Mahama’s RESET Agenda, targeting youth jobs and economic revival through empowered startups.
