Head Pastor of Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, says he already knows who will become Ghana’s next president but will not disclose the identity yet, citing timing and spiritual direction.
Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Afternoon Ghana on Monday, January 5, 2026, the outspoken cleric said the revelation was shown to him by God some time ago but he has chosen to keep it confidential for now.
“As we sit here, if the Lord tells me, of course, I know the next leader of Ghana, the Lord has shown me,” he said.
“Who is the next leader?” Kwasi Afriyie asked, “I will tell you in secret, in confidence. It’s time-bound” Prorhet Nigel Gaisie answered.
He explained that although the vision was revealed to him as far back as January 9 last year, he believes it is not yet the right time to make it public.
“The Lord has shown us as at ninth of January last year, but because of the timing, I’m not going to speak to it for now,” he said.
“Let’s talk about what is timely and at the appropriate time. We’ll declare the mind of God.”
The outspoken prophet also spoke extensively about his current political sympathies, clarifying that although he is not a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), his support is presently aligned with the party.
“I’m not NDC, but for now, my sympathies are 100 percent plus one towards the NDC,” he said, explaining that he believes he has a divine mandate to support the current government.
He added that his stance does not stem from hatred for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), noting that both major parties play important roles in Ghana’s development.
“That does not mean that I hate the NPP. No, without the NPP, nation building cannot go on,” he said.
“But for now, my much more focus and attention, so the Lord tells me otherwise, is towards the NDC.”
Prophet Nigel Gaisie stressed that when it comes to political prophecies, he only speaks when he believes God permits him to do so, warning that premature declarations could distort the message.
“When the Lord declares, I will say it,” he stated.
“But because of the timing, I’m not going to,” he explained.
