Parliament to Adjourn Sine Die on December 19

Parliament is expected to bring its current meeting to a close on Friday, 19th December 2025. The Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga, announced the plan while presenting the Business Statement for the ninth week.

He called on Committee Chairpersons to give all outstanding referrals the urgent attention they deserve and submit their reports without delay. According to him, this will help the House complete the remaining business before adjournment.

Hon. Ayariga, who also chairs the Business Committee, took a moment to acknowledge the Speaker, the Deputy Speakers and all Members of Parliament for their commitment throughout the meeting. He expressed hope that the final week would run smoothly as the House prepares to adjourn sine die.

Eight ministers have been scheduled to appear before Parliament during the week to respond to 41 questions. They include the Minister for Food and Agriculture, the Minister of State in charge of Public Sector Reforms, the Minister for Roads and Highways, the Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, the Minister for Labour, Jobs and Employment, the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, the Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, and the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.

Parliament is expected to wrap up all outstanding business before rising on Friday.
