President John Dramani Mahama has expressed appreciation to Ghanaians for the trust, patience and cooperation shown to his administration one year after his return to power.

Speaking at an interfaith thanksgiving service held at the Presidency on Wednesday, January 7, the President said the commitment and support of citizens had been critical as his government worked through difficult economic and social conditions.

“I want to thank you for one year of trust. I want to thank you for one year of partnership. I wish to thank you for one year of shared sacrifice and patience,” President Mahama stated.

Reflecting on the past year, the President noted that his administration was given a strong mandate to restore hope, stabilise the economy and reset Ghana’s development agenda. He admitted that the task had been challenging but said the resilience and cooperation of Ghanaians had helped keep the country moving forward.

President Mahama further stressed that Ghana’s democratic institutions have remained firm despite global uncertainties and internal pressures. He commended citizens for their endurance and reaffirmed his confidence in the nation’s ability to overcome its challenges through unity, discipline and a shared national purpose.

The thanksgiving service brought together religious leaders, government officials and invited guests to reflect on the country’s progress and pray for continued stability and growth.
