President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday commissioned Mrs Kulsoume Sinare Baffoe as Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Ghana to the Kingdom of Spain.
The commissioning ceremony forms part of efforts by the government to strengthen Ghana’s diplomatic relations with Spain and deepen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, tourism, education and cultural exchange.
Mrs Baffoe is expected to represent Ghana’s interests in Spain and work to promote stronger ties between the two countries.

Her role will also include engaging Ghanaian citizens living in Spain, facilitating economic and diplomatic partnerships, and advancing the country’s foreign policy objectives.
President Mahama is said to have charged the ambassador-designate to serve with diligence, patriotism and integrity as she takes up the national assignment.
Her appointment is seen as part of Ghana’s broader commitment to enhancing its international presence and ensuring effective representation in key foreign missions.

Spain remains an important partner to Ghana within Europe, with cooperation between the two countries spanning migration, development support, trade and cultural relations.
Mrs Kulsoume Sinare Baffoe now awaits the next diplomatic processes ahead of formally assuming duty in Madrid.
