Deputy Minister for Defence, Hon Brogya Genfi, joined the Ghana Armed Forces and other security services at the National Day of Prayer held at the Garrison Methodist Presbyterian Church in Burma Camp. The event carried the theme, “Renewal of Our Minds for National Peace and Security” (Romans 12:2). It aimed to promote spiritual wellness among security personnel and to seek divine guidance for the nation.
During his address, the Deputy Minister for Defence encouraged all participants to stay humble and committed to God and country. He explained that real strength comes from spiritual support. This, he said, is especially important during difficult times. Ghana has faced several challenges in recent months, including economic pressure, a helicopter crash, and a recruitment stampede that sadly claimed fourteen lives.

Hon Genfi also urged the security services to learn from past events. He reminded them to stay alert and avoid complacency. According to him, continuous reflection and prayer are necessary for national peace and security.
The National Day of Prayer served as an important reminder of the need for unity, spiritual renewal, and guidance. It brought together security personnel and leaders to pray for the protection and progress of the nation.
