The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has appealed to the current government to urgently rehabilitate several deplorable road networks that have suffered years of neglect under the previous administration.

According to the MP, while she acknowledges and appreciates the ongoing road projects already approved for the constituency, dozens of critical communities continue to struggle with poor road conditions that hinder transportation, healthcare access, farming activities, and local commerce.

Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe noted that many of the affected communities have been left behind for far too long, stressing that their challenges did not begin today. She emphasised that the current government has the opportunity to correct these long-standing infrastructural gaps, which were overlooked despite repeated calls during the tenure of the former administration.

“We cannot continue to allow our people to suffer because of the neglect of the past. I am calling on the government to help us fix the rest of these roads so our farmers, traders and schoolchildren can move safely and easily,” she said.

“Our people deserve better, and I am confident that with the right support, we can transform these communities,” she added.
