
President John Dramani Mahama will host the President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, for a three-day State Visit to Ghana from April 1 to April 3, 2026.
President Mnangagwa is expected to be received in Accra with full military honours, followed by a State Banquet held in his honour.
The visit will include high-level bilateral engagements between the two leaders, beginning with a tête-à-tête, followed by delegation-level talks. Discussions will focus on strengthening cooperation between Ghana and Zimbabwe in key areas such as trade, tourism, agriculture, healthcare, sanitation, as well as joint efforts to tackle corruption and unemployment.
The two presidents will also witness the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding aimed at advancing cooperation and promoting mutual economic and development interests between the two countries.

As part of his official itinerary, President Mnangagwa will visit the Sweden Ghana Medical Centre and the Accra Compost and Recycling Plant. He will also pay homage at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park in honour of Ghana’s first President.
The visit is expected to further strengthen diplomatic and economic relations between Ghana and Zimbabwe.
