Renowned Ghanaian prophet Nigel Gaisie, has spoken positively about the ministry of Pastor Elvis Agyemang, describing the Alpha Hour prayer movement as inspiring and impactful, particularly among young people.

Making an appearance on Good Afternoon Ghana on Metro TV on Monday, January 5, 2026, during a conversation with host Kwasi Afriyie, Prophet Gaisie said although he does not have a personal relationship with Pastor Elvis, he admires what he has seen of his ministry.

“I don’t know him personally, but I’ve seen him,” he said.

“If you ask me, praise God. What he’s doing is an inspiration to the younger generation and even to the older generation.”

Prophet Nigel Gaisie noted that prayer-based ministries such as Alpha Hour often face fewer attacks compared to prophetic ministries, which he said are constantly under scrutiny in Ghana.

“In Ghana, every prophet is fake, but every pastor is good,” he remarked, explaining that prophetic churches tend to attract more criticism and hostility.

“The attacks that come on the prophetic church, they don’t get that same measure of attack.”

Despite this, he said there is no rivalry between him and Pastor Elvis and revealed that he had prayed for him during the recent crossover services.

“I love what I saw on the 30th and 31st. I even prayed for him,” he said. “Me, I’m a kingdom man.”

He dismissed suggestions of enmity among Christian leaders, stressing that ministry should not be reduced to competition for numbers.

“If all the people who go to church on Sunday come to my church, I would die,” he said, adding that his concern is impact, not crowd size. “Ministry is about impact.”

Prophet Nigel Gaisie encouraged Pastor Elvis to take Alpha Hour beyond Ghana, saying the movement has the potential to draw large crowds across the region.

“He should have the confidence to take it to another nation,” he said.

“He should go to Sierra Leone and fill the stadiums. He should go to Liberia and fill the stadiums. It is possible.”

While acknowledging the growth of Alpha Hour, Prophet Nigel Gaisie stressed that different ministers operate under different graces and assignments.

“The callings of God are not the same,” he said. “What God is using him to do is different from what God is using me to do.”

According to him, his own calling involves confronting systems and governments when necessary, a role he believes requires a different level of spiritual authority.

“The confidence I have to face governments and systems, he may not have that confidence,” he said. “It’s a different measure of grace.”

Prophet Nigel Gaisie further wished Pastor Elvis well and called for unity within the Christian community, saying all ministers, regardless of their calling, are working toward the same goal.

“Whether Paul, Apollos or Timothy, we are one people,” he said. “I bless God for his life and I wish him more wins.”
