Food lovers and culture enthusiasts are gearing up for FUFU FEST 2026, a major culinary and lifestyle event scheduled for Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Gloryland Chop Bar, Ahwerase, along the Akuapem Range in the Eastern Region.
The festival, running from 10:00am to 6:00pm, is being organized by Wise Ink Concepts, the creative force behind some of Ghana’s most successful food-themed events, including the Koforidua Fufu Party (2020–2022), Kasoa Waakye Festival, and the Akyem Abuakwa North Ohum Fufu Party.
Wise Ink Concepts is also responsible for Fufuo Wo Krom, GHOne TV’s popular food show that celebrates indigenous Ghanaian dishes and local food businesses. The show airs every Saturday at 9:00pm on GHOne TV and is also available on YouTube. It is hosted and executive-produced by Kwabena Bediako Antwi-Dako, popularly known as IBK The Food Marshall, also called Wofa 1.

FUFU FEST 2026 promises a full day of food, music, and cultural celebration. Activities lined up include a live band performance, DJ sessions, a competitive fufu-eating contest to crown the Fufu King and Queen, radio engagements, and curated photo moments for patrons.

Beyond entertainment, the festival forms part of a broader mission to promote Ghanaian cuisine, support local chop bars, boost domestic tourism, and create job opportunities for young people. Organizers say events like FUFU FEST play a practical role in uplifting local economies and spotlighting community-based food enterprises.

With its scenic location and rich cultural focus, FUFU FEST 2026 is expected to attract patrons from Accra and beyond, offering an opportunity to escape the city’s hustle and reconnect with authentic Ghanaian food culture.
